Devon and Amy moved from Texas for work. West Virginia wasn't really the plan, but they bought a house and stayed. At some point they stopped thinking about leaving.
In 2023, They wanted to start their own business so Devon started streaming on TikTok, mostly to keep up with bills. Then an audience showed up who became regular customers.
They loaded up the car, brought the kids, and drove to a Pokémon show in Hagerstown, Maryland. First vendor table ever. They had no idea what they were doing.
That show worked, so they did it again. Nearly 50 shows a year since then, across the region. Early mornings, long drives, the same people finding them at different tables every few weeks. That's where it got built.
By 2026, they were ready to start their own physical shop. Ryan, a longtime friend from Illinois who'd been deep in the hobby for years, came on as a partner. LoneStar Cards opened in Inwood, West Virginia.
"That first show changed everything."
